Program Overview
Students in Grades K-2 will have a wide variety of musical experiences in general music classes including singing, movement, and playing instruments. Students will be encouraged to express themselves and celebrate their uniqueness by learning how to be beatful, tuneful, and artful. We will be working on reaching these goals in an age appropriate way across the grade levels. Our four units of study will be: Rhythm, Melody, Playing Instruments, and Musical Expression. Curriculum will be based on Music National Standards and cultivate a student’s ability to demonstrate three artistic processes: creating, performing, and responding.
